We collect only the information you choose to submit through our contact and consultation forms: your name, business name, industry, email address, phone number, preferred consultation day and time, and the details of your enquiry. Our servers also process standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site available.

Information submitted through our forms is used solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange an initial consultation and maintain a record of that correspondence. Where you tick the consent checkbox on a form, processing is based on your consent (section 11(1)(a) of POPIA). Where we respond to a request you initiated, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not use your details for marketing without separate, explicit consent.

As required by section 19 of POPIA, we maintain appropriate, reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, damage and unauthorised access. These include HTTPS/TLS encryption for all traffic to and from this website, strict transport security, encryption of stored data at rest by our hosting provider, database access rules that permit form submissions to be written but not publicly read back, and access limited to authorised personnel who need it to respond to your enquiry.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that host our website, database and email delivery, who process it on our instruction and under confidentiality obligations. Some of these providers may store data outside South Africa; where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable levels of protection as contemplated in section 72 of POPIA.

Enquiry records are retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose they were collected, or as required by law, after which they are deleted or de-identified. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

You have the right to be notified of the collection of your information, to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion of that information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal). To exercise these rights, email admin@novarasage.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
